Join the CCA in Glasgow for a creative workshop on the third Monday of every month. Pre-submitted scripts are matched with a director and actors to workshop and often have observers attached to their groups. The actors remaining after scripts are cast form improvisation workshops and the night closes with performances from all groups. Register between 6 and 6.50pm to meet and mingle before doors close for a 7pm casting. Further details from writecameraaction@hotmail.co.uk

Its primary activity is organising the Celtic Media Festival. The Celtic Media Festival is supported by broadcast, film, cultural and economic development organisations throughout the Celtic countries. The Festival is an annual three-day celebration of broadcasting, film talent and excellence from Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Cornwall, Brittany and the Isle of Man.

London's premier LGBT cross-arts festival, GFEST is a platform for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) and queer artists, organisations and venues to promote LGBT and queer arts. Organised by arts charity Wise Thoughts, GFEST features established alongside fresh or young LGBT artists and queer talent across the arts, including visual arts, theatre, dance and performance, LGBT short films, debates, workshops and parties. GFEST takes place annually in November in various venues across London.

The River'S Edge International Film Festival brings independent film to the smart, arts-oriented, mid-American river town of Paducah, Kentucky.
