Profile: Helpful. Hardworking. Happy. I think these words best describe me and I think these attributes are very important for working in this industry. Often the hours are long and the work tedious. It is important to remain upbeat and happy so that you keep the moral of the team up to achieved the desired outcome. A runner needs to be helpful, doing what is asked of them and helping the team with whatever they need. The job often involves hard-work. Being on your feet all day, running around, and multi-tasking to tight deadlines.

Profile: I am conscientious, punctual, hard working, creative, good sense of humour, organized, observant, eye for detail, determined and most importantly, reliable. Previous employment and experience in the events industry has enabled me to work well and remain focused under intense pressure, whilst maintaining a positive attitude within a team and the workplace.

Profile: I am only 22, but that is no reason to disregard me as a candidate for job with responsibility and a heavy work load. What I lack in experience I make up for in enthusiasm and energy. I am a strong lad and a hard worker, and gel well within teams, but also willing to use my initiative where necessary. With a look into the past, I graduated the University of Manchester in July 2008, but before I moved to Manchester I lived in my hometown of Leicester, where I lived and worked in my parents fish and chip take away and restaurant. At school, by final year, I was Senior Prefect, House of House, Staff Sergeant in CCF, Film Prefect and Head of Sixth Form Centre, and head of Student/Staff Liaison Committee. Soon after school and going to University, my ultimate ambition was to direct films and get fully involved in the film industry, working within a team of professionals.

I am very hard working, presentable, self motivated, have a calm, fun, energetic but efficient manor when working to deadlines. I pride myself with always being punctual, accurate, always willing to go that extra mile, have an openness to learning new skills and am a great communicator.

Having a strong background in retail and sales, I\'m not only used to rolling my sleeves up and getting stuck in, but I have also developed the ability to get along with all different types of people. Using initiative as well as strong communication and organisation skills are also necessities in the world of retail. Would I fit into your team I here you ask? If you are looking for an energetic, fun and reliable person with a good sense of humour, then yes I believe I would.Oh and last but not least, I have been told I make a fine brew - an all important job especially in busy and demanding times.

Profile: In a nutshell I have a passionate interest in the creative arts and particularly the film industry. My mother was a well-known make-up artist in the commercial film industry in Johannesburg and my grandfather was Creative Director of several international advertising agencies, before moving into the commercial film business as a director. I attended the National School of Arts in Johannesburg, and graduated with some distinction. After school, I worked for a casting agency in Cape Town, where I gained invaluable experience in the film business. After moving to the UK in September last year, I worked briefly as a caregiver (just staying afloat), spent a week at MGV and was awarded my current position as front of house/production assistant/runner At The Bare Film Company, ahead of over 70 other applicants! Unfortunately the company is restructuring and the ‘last in first out’ principle has resulted in me being retrenched. I am an enthusiastic and committed person, producing a high standard of work. I am a fast learner and can take charge when the situation requires it. I am original, energetic, fun and friendly, But always remain professional. I am willing to start at the bottom and work my way up should the right opportunity present itself.

Profile: John has discovered an interest in working in the film and tv industry after having worked on various film projects. His valuable insight into film is now driving his hunger and leading him to make and direct a short film. He has Irish roots and his background is mainly with local government in Dublin but has taken time out (5 years) to discover his potential and see where he may go from here.

Profile: I am 24 and graduated university in July with a degree in media practice and theory. I am currently looking for work in the entertainment industry, whether it is in TV or film. My recent work experience has been as a location scout for a feature film and prior to this, a runner for the BBC and cameraman and editor for Leap Anywhere TV. I am fully capable in using professional cameras, i.e Z1, Z7, Sony DSR 250, 500. I am willing and able to do various jobs, whether its the grip, boom operator, or making cups of tea.

Profile: Joe graduated last year from the Arts Institute at Bournemouth having achieved BA (Hons) in Animation Production. He has since had experience of running on live-action and animation shoots, as well as having done work experience as an in-house runner for three acclaimed animation production houses, one of which was for 2 months. He is a diligent, honest, able to carry out a given task and takes on any role competently. He’s happy to work long shifts, lift heavy equipment when called for and undertake menial tasks—standard stuff for a runner. He is good at balancing quality of work with tight deadlines. He will play his part in the production process and will work effectively and efficiently.
