Profile: I am young, dedicated and a film fanatic. I loved my studies and now I want to pursue a career in films and the media industry. I want to be able to be involved with the creation of films and have a input. I also love music, going to gigs regularly and even collect vinyl. I love sport from football, tennis, basketball. Attend football matches when I get the chance with my partner and family. I would say I am an approachable person who is always willing to help and work with others to solve a problem, whilst not bein afraid to take on a task individually.

Profile: I'm qwirky, resourseful (I'd be good on a desert Island...more Jack Shepard type good than John Locke type good). I'm very good at trouble shooting problems with limited resourses and willing to muck in with any jobs that need to get done that are not always the most glamourous. Filmmaking is me basically, its what everyone I know knows me for being passionate about. I'm realistic but determined and the skills that I may lack I make for in doing everything I can to learn.

Profile: I am very creative, outgoing, motivated and organised. I am a very ambitious person and believe that I can apply myself to anything. I am a fast learner and believe that the more you put in the more you get out. I am highly sociable and am constantly told that I am a lot of fun to be around!

Profile: I am applying to work as a runner because I wish to transition from theatre directing into drama production. I have spent the past 10 years benefiting from a wide variety of experiences all of which have contributed in ultimately positive ways to form my character, interests, intellect and creative eye. I have been exposed to a wide variety of performance genres and have a good history of drama experience from training and teaching to performance practise and development. I can offer a broad range of skills; adaptability, the motivation and capability to learn and a genuine interest in drama production. Originally I went to Manchester Metropolitan to study Theatre Arts (acting). I then embarked on a Masters degree in Theatre Directing. The training was broad enough to give me transferable knowledge such as the ability to carry the weight of a project, manage multiple personalities and harness the skill and creative ideas of others into my own vision. It was also focused enough to allow development of my own directing style, aided by three months training with GITIS Theatre Academy in Moscow. In Moscow and South East Asia I directed performances with the use of translators. Working in the latter region, more specifically Thailand and Bali, the practice of assimilating Arts into religious practices, led to a growing interest in cross-cultural ritual and performance. I returned to the UK to pursue this interest via a funded scholarship to read Theology at Cambridge University. For part of my studies I spent a semester at Yale University researching the assimilation between theatre and ritual. This period of growth has aided my development in research methodologies, critical thinking and writing. My directorial experience has largely been in theatre, but during the last couple of years, due to the isolation of studying, I started making my own short films. Teaching myself Final Cut Pro, I discovered that I could stare at a computer screen for hours directing scenes, paying close attention to nuances of imagery, and emerge from the process exhausted yet invigorated. Moreover, I found that the thrill of working with live performers and watching the culmination of efforts manifest before a live audience, was matched by the processes of working through the necessary intricacies of producing a recorded end product. What I most hope to gain is a foot in the door of progressing into producing/directing for screen and am looking to gain knowledge in the necessary fields of editing, research and production. I know that there are hundreds and thousands of equally talented, worthy, no doubt more established creatives vying for an opportunity. Against them I can promise simply this: an individual who wants to gain more than a brief 'experience.' I don't need to to find out if I am suited long hours, working under pressure, dealing with difficult people, overcoming obstacles, using initiative, thinking on my feet and all the other realities of working in production. In my career to date these facets are frequently present and I know that not only do I thrive on such challenges but I am bored by anything less. I always commit a great deal of energy to achieving the best that I can offer and quickly become engrossed in the processes of creative production. I have acquired useful transferable skills such as the ability to work within a team, confidence, common sense, and the sensitivity to read people and situations and respond accordingly. But I am also very much a team player who is willing to go right back to basics in order to learn the trade from the very beginning. At 32 I am of an age to be serious and committed to utilising any given opportunity as fully as possible. I have a good deal of varied experiences upon which to draw. I have held previous roles which have demanded an organised, flexible and adaptable nature as well as the ability to work effectively and cooperatively within pressured environments. Finally and by no means least, it has taken me a full ten years to reach the point of knowing with total conviction what will motivate me to work long hours and late nights for the remainder of my working career. But it has also taken this long to develop the confidence, wherewithall and character to achieve such aims.
